Scott Cohen (Founder/CEO of North Bay Justice) was rated by Super Lawyer’s and named among the “Rising Stars” for 2023.

Scott cares deeply about people and he dedicates much of his law practice to giving voice to the most vulnerable segments of our community. Due to lack of resources for indigent clients in Sonoma County, Scott devotes a large portion of his law practice assisting deserving, low-income families, regardless of ability to pay, whenever possible. In 2022, alone, Scott single handedly slayed giants—mega-real estate corporations and greedy, deep-pocketed insurance companies—to recover millions for several of his low-income clients, many of whom are first generation, immigrant families.

Scott’s competitive nature, courage in the courtroom, and high ethical standards are the qualities that set him apart from others. Scott maintains memberships and affiliations with the San Francisco Trial Law Lawyer’s Association, Sonoma County Bar Association, Marin County Bar Association, and the Kennan Trial Institute.  In addition to championing plaintiffs’ Personal Injury legal needs, Scott also assists clients with State and Local & Municipal issues (government overreach), Landlord-Tenant, Consumer Protections, Business Litigation, and Constitutional Law.

Prior to starting this law firm, Scott was a HUD Compliance Coordinator employed by the San Francisco Housing Authority. Scott also worked as Social Services Manager overseeing large multi-family Section 8/HUD Program territories in the South Bay Area via nonprofit organizations. Prior, Scott worked as a Data Analyst on Market Street, in San Francisco’s Financial District. 

Scott attended UC Davis where he graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) earning a BA in Sociology with an emphasis on law and statistical research methodologies. Scott earned his Juris Doctorate from Empire Law and is licensed to practice law in the State of California. Scott proudly serves the Bay Area where he was born and raised.
